Located in our local area, Oruaiti Reserve sits between Worser Bay and Breaker Bay on the Miramar Peninsula and with lots of track options it's a great place to walk with your dog! The tracks are all on-lead.

Skyline Walkway
Trek through rugged farmland and take in breathtaking views of the city, coastline and distant peaks of the South Island from the Skyline Walkway.
This walk is 12km one way and you should allow at least 5 hours. Dogs must be on-lead.
Te Ahumairangi Hill
If you're into scenic spots then Te Ahumairangi Hill is for you!
As part of Wellington's Northern Walkway the off-lead track follows the ridge line for a reasonably gentle stroll. There are also a number of tracks which go down the hill into the bush, but these tracks are on lead only.
Camping in Kaitoke Regional Park
Camping with your dog in Kaitoke Regional Park is a great summer activity, and if camping isn't your thing, the park is only 45 minutes from Wellington so it's an easy day trip with plenty of dog walking possibilities.

We love Mount Kaukau! It's one of our favourite spots in Wellington and Willow and Josh are lucky enough to live next to one of the track entrances so it's their local walking spot.
